Residents at Jubilee Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a joyful and engaging community outing on 13 January 2026, taking part in a much-requested bowling trip that brought laughter, friendly competition, and meaningful social connection.
The trip was organised following requests made during resident meetings, where individuals shared the activities they enjoy and the places they would like to visit. Responding directly to resident feedback, the Jubilee Court team arranged a community bowling outing that was accessible, inclusive, and fun for all involved.
The outing provided residents with an opportunity to engage in a low-impact, adaptable activity suitable for different mobility levels, while also promoting community engagement, confidence, and social connection. The atmosphere throughout the day was filled with fun, encouragement, and shared enjoyment.
One particularly special moment came when resident Tony reflected on the experience, sharing that it brought back many happy memories from his younger days, highlighting the powerful emotional and personal impact of meaningful activities.
This community trip demonstrates Jubilee Court’s ongoing commitment to listening to residents’ voices and creating experiences that support wellbeing, independence, and quality of life through personalised, resident-led activities.
