On the 10th of March, Greenbanks care home, partnered with Everyone Active gym to host a vibrant Zumba session for elderly members of the community. The event, which took place in the welcoming environment of Greenbanks care home, aimed to promote physical activity and reduce isolation among elderly residents.

The session, led by professional instructors from Everyone Active, was a great success, bringing together community members for an hour of fitness and fun. Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with Sue, a community member, sharing her thoughts: “It was a challenging session, but it was really fun, and it was something different.”

The importance of this initiative is significant. By providing an opportunity for physical activity, Greenbanks is helping to promote the health and well-being of elderly residents. It is a valuable opportunity to reduce isolation while encouraging a more active lifestyle.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Everyone Active to bring such a positive and engaging experience to the community,” said Kirsty Harragan, Customer Relations Manager at Greenbanks. “Keeping fit and reducing isolation are key priorities for us, and by combining both, we were able to create a fun and supportive environment for elderly residents.”

This Zumba session is just one of the many ways in which Greenbanks is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of local residents. The organisation looks forward to continuing these initiatives and bringing even more engaging activities to the community.
