Stafford Hall Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, has been filled with warmth, creativity, and joyful reflection as residents came together to celebrate the upcoming Easter festivities with a series of engaging seasonal activities.
Between 20 March and 23 March, residents and staff collaborated to decorate Easter bonnets, create colourful paper chains, and prepare a beautiful Easter wishing tree. The wishing tree became a special focal point of the event, adorned with hand-painted eggs and decorations. With each item placed on the tree, residents shared something they were thankful for, creating a meaningful and uplifting experience for all involved.
The activities encouraged conversation, laughter, and connection, as participants reminisced about past Easter memories, shared stories about family and friends, and reflected on the importance of the season.
The atmosphere throughout the event was described as sweet, joyful, and comforting. Residents expressed how much they valued the opportunity to spend time together, recalling cherished memories and enjoying a sense of togetherness. One particularly memorable moment came during the wishing tree activity, when residents shared what they were grateful for, prompting laughter when one resident expressed gratitude for Guinness, while another humorously clarified their appreciation for “eggs—but not the kind that go with bacon!”
These activities highlight Stafford Hall Care Home’s commitment to enriching the lives of residents through meaningful engagement and emotional wellbeing. By encouraging reflection, creativity, and social interaction, events like these help residents feel valued, loved, and connected.
Stafford Hall Care Home looks forward to continuing its Easter celebrations, building on the strong sense of community during this special time.
