Eastham Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, welcomed residents, families, staff, and members of the local community on Friday 26th September 2025 for a heartwarming Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising an impressive £112.01 in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, part of a wider initiative, brought people of all ages together to enjoy a selection of homemade cakes, freshly brewed coffee and tea, and good company which was all in aid of a vital cause.
The care home’s kitchen team lovingly prepared a wide variety of sweet treats, while residents and their families contributed their own bakes and took part in the fundraising activities. The atmosphere throughout the morning was happy and uplifting, with everyone coming together in the spirit of giving and community.

“We’re absolutely delighted with the amount raised and the turnout on the day. Events like these not only support an incredibly worthy cause but also provide a lovely opportunity for our residents to spend quality time with their loved ones and the wider community.”
The funds raised will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, which provides practical, emotional, and financial assistance to individuals and families affected by cancer. The charity relies heavily on events like coffee mornings to continue offering its essential services.
