Meet Our Home Manager

Karolyn Sisto

My journey into care has been deeply rewarding and transformative. After 15 years in the police force, I transitioned to health and social care in 2011, starting as a carer at Eastham.

What I love about this field is the opportunity for growth – I progressed to care team leader, then gained valuable experience as a deputy manager at another Runwood home for three years before returning to Eastham as home manager in 2024.

I’m incredibly grateful that Runwood Homes supported me through my social work degree, which I completed last year. Now, as both a registered home manager and a qualified, registered social worker, I feel equipped to make a real difference in people’s lives. Every step of this journey has taught me something new about compassion, leadership, and the importance of quality care.

At Runwood Homes, we offer a full food and dining menu consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with snacks to suit all dietary requirements. For residents requiring textured food, rest assured that your loved one’s needs will also be catered for. We take into account meal preferences from each resident in our care and aim to provide their favourite meals that they are used to.

Activities & Events

Your loved one will benefit from a dedicated Lifestyle Coordinator within the home; they will organise and encourage social interactions with a range of engaging activities. The Lifestyle Coordinator will create an activity calendar taking into account your loved one’s interests and varying needs. Activities may include Music and singing sessions, arts and crafts, bingo, baking and visits to outside attractions etc.
