On 9th December, residents and staff from Four Acres Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, had a delightful outing to the local Studley Sports and Social Club, to enjoy a festive occasion including a three-course Christmas meal alongside members of the community
The residents of Four Acres regularly attend the Social Club for the monthly Nosh and Natter Club, which takes place on the first Monday of every month. The residents were treated to a starter of prawn cocktail, followed by a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and finished off with a delicious Christmas pudding. Adding to the festive spirit, the event featured live entertainment by a local singer, Rays, who had everyone singing along to all the Christmas classics.
The festivities took a magical turn with a surprise visit from Santa and his Elf, spreading joy and creating a truly festive atmosphere. For many residents, attending the Nosh and Natter Club is something they look forward to each month as it provides a wonderful opportunity for them to reconnect with old friends and engage with the community.
Kayleigh Hobbis, Lifestyle Coordinator at Four Acres, commented:
“We had a lovely morning, it was great to get out in the community and get into the Christmas spirit. The residents really enjoyed seeing all their friends from the village.”
The event provided a meaningful opportunity for Four Acres residents to stay connected, strengthening ties with the community and creating cherished memories for all involved.
