Residents from Four Acres Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a wonderful day out on Monday 23rd June with a scenic trip to Stratford-upon-Avon. The outing gave five residents the chance to explore the historic town alongside two dedicated team members.
The group strolled along the riverside, taking in the picturesque views of boats and swans before enjoying a traditional fish and chip lunch. The simple pleasure of a chip shop meal was a highlight for many, with residents reminiscing about similar outings from their younger years.
“One of the residents really enjoyed the trip. The place reminded her of when she was younger,” Lifestyle Coordinator Kayleigh shared.
The visit was made possible thanks to Four Acres’ allocated minibus day and was a wonderful way for residents to enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and meaningful conversation. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and smiles, making it a truly memorable experience.
A standout moment from the trip was the joy on residents’ faces as they soaked in the sights of Stratford-upon-Avon. It was a day filled with warmth, nostalgia, and togetherness.
