Four Acres donation from Dunelm

Four Acres Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is thrilled to share the heart-warming news that Dunelm Redditch has generously donated 66 personalised Christmas gifts to residents as part of their annual Wish Tree campaign.

Home Manager Jasmine Kessey expressed her gratitude, highlighting the emotional impact on residents: “Our residents are really excited and overwhelmed with joy about the generosity of the general public.”

The initiative took place on 1st December 2025, after Four Acres provided information about each resident’s preferences. Dunelm then displayed personalised wish tags on their Wish Tree, allowing members of the public to purchase a meaningful, individual gift for every resident at the home.

The gesture holds special importance for Four Acres, where many residents do not have family close by, or in some cases, no family at all. “This truly shows that there are still good people in the community,” Jasmine noted. “The Christmas spirit brings everyone together.”

The idea came about after friends and family of the home nominated Four Acres through a Facebook post promoting the Wish Tree initiative, helping make this generous partnership possible.

The atmosphere in the home has been filled with excitement, with residents eagerly looking forward to opening their gifts on Christmas Day.

Four Acres has been deeply moved by the kindness shown, with Jasmine adding: “We have been overwhelmed with the generosity of the public.”

The home extends heartfelt thanks to Dunelm Redditch and every member of the community who contributed to making this Christmas extra special.
