“Give a Little, Help a Lot”: Food Bank Collection at Bramwell Care Home

Bramwell care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, are proud to announce the successful culmination of their food bank collection initiative, themed “Give a Little, Help a Lot.” Over the course of October, residents, families, and staff rallied together to collect essential food items to support the local charity, Hope House, which provides critical services to those in need.

Throughout the month, a dedicated food bank was set up in the reception area of Bramwell care home, encouraging contributions from the entire community. On the 14th of October, residents and staff personally delivered the collected food items to Hope House in Beeston, a welcoming one-stop café that supports up to 22 homeless individuals facing crisis situations.

Hope House not only offers free meals and friendship but also provides vital support through a variety of programs, including prayer sessions, breakfast gatherings, arts and crafts, and toddler groups, fostering a sense of community among individuals and families.

Mable Joloza, Home Manager at Bramwell Care Home, expressed gratitude for the community’s support, stating, “For the month of October, the dignity theme is ‘Give a Little, Help a Lot,’ and it was important to contribute to the local charity, Hope House. The response from staff, residents, and their families was incredible. A significant amount of food items was collected, which Hope House deeply appreciated. They are doing an amazing job assisting people in crisis in the area.”

Bramwell care home is committed to supporting local initiatives that uplift and empower the community. This food bank collection is just one of many ways the care home strives to make a positive impact and promote the spirit of giving among its residents and staff.
