Highview Daycentre, part of the Runwood Homes Group, marked National Pizza Day on 9 February 2026 with a fun, hands-on cooking activity that brought everyone together to create and enjoy homemade pizzas.
The session encouraged creativity, independence, and social connection, values that sit at the heart of everything Highview Daycentre strives to offer. Everyone involved in the activity, prepared and made their own pizzas, enjoying both the process and the results.
Dannii, Carer at Highview Daycentre, highlighted the positive impact of the activity:

Cherry, Hok Ni, Rob, and Clint, who regularly attend the daycentre enjoyed working together in a relaxed environment.
Clint shared his enthusiasm for the day, saying he enjoyed making the pizzas with others and loved eating them even more, adding that “they were delicious!”
The National Pizza Day celebration provided an opportunity for everyone at the daycentre to develop practical skills, connect with one another, and take pride in creating something themselves, making it a simple but meaningful day at Highview Daycentre.
