Ivy Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was filled with energy, laughter and community spirit as staff, residents and visitors came together to take part in a sponsored 24-hour bike ride, held across 26 and 27 January.
The event saw participants cycling continuously over a two-day period, raising funds for Ivy Court’s resident activities and events. In total, the community cycled over 250 miles and raised an impressive £230 to support the residents’ fund.
The atmosphere throughout the event was lively and uplifting, with people regularly stopping by the bike to chat, sing and dance along to music while cheering on the designated rider. The sense of togetherness created a memorable experience for everyone involved.
The idea for the sponsored ride emerged from a team fundraising brainstorm, with the shared goal of giving back to residents and enhancing their experience at Ivy Court. Funds raised will go directly towards providing entertainment, activities and special events to ensure residents continue to enjoy a vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle.
Visitors and residents alike praised the initiative, highlighting Ivy Court’s ongoing commitment to creating engaging and inclusive experiences for its community.
