Laureate Court care home, part of the Runwood Homes group transported their residents, staff, and guests back to the vibrant 1980s with a nostalgic themed party on Friday 2nd of August. The event brought a burst of colour, music, and joy to the Rotherham home, filling the air with laughter and celebration.
Guests arrived dressed in their finest 80s attire, showcasing an array of flamboyant fashion from the iconic decade. The atmosphere was electric as attendees participated in an 80s-themed quiz, danced to the beat of live 80s music, and enjoyed a delightful buffet that featured some of the era’s favourite snacks.
The highlight of the afternoon was the Best Dressed Competition, where resident Sandra and Care Team Leader Adele stood out with their impressive 80s-inspired outfits. Their creativity and enthusiasm earned them top honours and a round of applause from the crowd.
The garden at Laureate Court was transformed into a vibrant party space, welcoming a host of family members and friends. The event created a lively and heartwarming environment, with everyone coming together to share in the fun and relive cherished memories of the past.
