On Saturday 23rd March 2024, Leawood Manor care home in West Bridgford, Nottingham opened its doors to the local community for a memorable Open Day celebration, offering an opportunity for attendees to explore the home’s services and connect with the dedicated team behind it all.
Arranged by the dedicated Well-being team, the event featured guided tours of Leawood Manor, providing visitors with an insightful look into the exceptional care and services provided. Prospective residents and their families had the chance to enquire about various aspects of life at Leawood Manor, gaining valuable information.
At the career stand, enthusiastic staff members shared insights into the diverse roles within the home, sparking interest and receiving numerous inquiries from individuals eager to pursue a career in Adult Social Care.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, attendees were treated to a special musical performance by singer and entertainer Russell Weaver, which brought joy to residents and their families. Additionally, members of the Nottingham branch of the Hindu Swayamsavac Sangh group joined in, engaging in Easter crafts with residents and fostering a sense of community.
The celebrations reached their peak as residents, staff, and families joined in dancing and singing along to the tunes, creating a heartwarming atmosphere of camaraderie.
Delicious canapés and refreshments were served throughout the day, with highlights including a roast beef dinner in a single bite, leaving attendees thoroughly impressed and satisfied.
