Liberty House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, has embraced the festive season with a heartwarming initiative designed to recognise the dedication and hard work of its staff. From 1 December through to Christmas Day, one team member each day is surprised with a small token gift as part of the home’s special Staff Advent Calendar.
Manager Tracey shared the inspiration behind the idea, stating:
“I like to show our appreciation to our staff members. Little treats go a long way. It also gets us into the Christmas spirit.”
Care Assistant Rhianne expressed her gratitude after receiving her gift:
“Thank you very much, it’s a lovely treat and I really appreciate it.”
All staff at Liberty House are included, making the countdown to Christmas a daily moment of joy and recognition. The initiative was created by Tracey as a meaningful way to celebrate the team’s ongoing commitment to residents, especially during the busy festive period.
The atmosphere throughout the event has been cheerful and uplifting, with staff feeling valued and appreciated. The biggest highlight is the smiles all around as each day’s surprise brings a little extra festive cheer to the team at Liberty House.
