Residents and families at Lower Meadow Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group enjoyed a spectacular Beach Day celebration and many said they enjoyed it even more than going to the seaside itself!
The home was transformed into a seaside escape, complete with a paddling pool, inflatables, sandcastle building, and a cocktail bar. Residents tucked into traditional fish and chips served in paper in the garden, followed by delicious ice creams to complete the holiday atmosphere.
The event was created after residents expressed their wish to visit the beach. As travel wasn’t possible, the team decided to bring the seaside experience directly to them. The result was a joyful day full of special memories.
