Our wellbeing and enrichment programme is tailored to individual interests, helping residents stay active, build confidence, and enjoy social interaction each day. Activities range from visits to local attractions using our minibus service and hosting monthly community events to joining the Runwood Ramblers walking group, alongside a wide variety of activities within the home.

Food & Nutrition
At Lower Meadow, we follow the guidelines of the British Dietetic Association and the Care Home Digest to ensure residents’ nutritional needs are consistently met. Our freshly prepared meals cater to a wide range of dietary requirements and preferences, bringing residents together in a welcoming, social, and dignified atmosphere where every mealtime is both enjoyable and nourishing.

Rachel Walker
I begun my journey at Lower Meadow over 6 years ago now, as a care assistant and with the support of Runwood Homes, I have now successfully managed the home for over 3 years. I am very proud of the amazing team we have and the quality of care that we provide here. To care for someone is an honor, but, to give them a life here at Lower Meadow, where they laugh, enjoy life and feel loved and cared for, now that is something special.

Weekly Charges per Person:
Our standard fees are subject to assessment.
The only extra our residents may need to pay for is hairdressing, chiropody or if they wish to order news papers, magazines etc.
