Maun View Care Home part of the Runwood Homes Group, was filled with festive cheer on 13 December 2025 as residents, relatives, and staff came together to celebrate the home’s annual Christmas Fayre. The event created a truly magical atmosphere and raised an incredible £1,530 for the Maun View resident fund — the highest amount ever raised at a fundraising event at the home.
The Christmas Fayre featured a wide range of activities and entertainment, including a tombola, raffle, face painting, festive stalls, a cake sale, and delicious seasonal treats such as pork and stuffing cobs, Baileys hot chocolates, and mulled wine. Residents and guests were also delighted by special visits from Santa Claus and Buddy the Elf, adding extra festive sparkle to the day.
A standout highlight of the event was a special performance by the Kirkby Colliery Brass Band, which proved incredibly popular with residents and guests alike, creating a truly memorable and uplifting experience.
Nicola, Home Manager at Maun View Care Home, thanked everyone involved, saying:
