Frank Foster House are delighted to announce a special event that took place recently, where residents were treated to a visit from beautiful owls. This memorable occasion was organised in response to a heartfelt request from Ethel, a resident who has always loved owls and wished to see them up close.

The owl visit provided a unique pet therapy experience for the residents, promoting emotional well-being and joy through interaction with these magnificent birds. The event was attended by both the care home residents and staff, creating an atmosphere of warmth and excitement throughout the home.

Nicolas Kee Mew, the Home Manager at Frank Foster House, expressed his thoughts on the event:

“The residents thoroughly enjoyed the owls visiting us. It was lovely to see the joy on their faces as they interacted with these incredible creatures. For some residents, this experience was particularly meaningful, and it truly brought a smile to everyone’s day.”

Ethel, a resident, reflected on her experience, stating, “My wish came true!”

The staff at Frank Foster House understand the profound impact that pet therapy can have on residents’ quality of life. They recognise that events like these create meaningful experiences, strengthen bonds among residents, and significantly enhance the overall atmosphere within the community.
