Residents, staff, and relatives at Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, came together recently in a vibrant show of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, uniting to raise essential funds and awareness. The event brought a joyful, community-focused atmosphere to the care home, as participants donned pink attire and contributed in various ways to help support breast cancer research and services.
During the event, residents enthusiastically decorated cakes, which were later sold to visitors and staff, with all proceeds going toward breast cancer initiatives. The home was filled with cheerful energy as family members, residents, and staff came together for this meaningful cause.
“Our Breast Cancer Awareness event was a truly special day for everyone at Park View Care Home,” said Alex Sanders, Home Manager. “It was heartwarming to see residents, staff, and relatives come together in such a vibrant and positive way to support a cause that touches so many lives. The dedication and enthusiasm shown by everyone, from baking cakes to wearing pink, was inspiring, and we are proud to contribute to the fight against breast cancer. Every bit of support helps make a difference, and we are honoured to have played a part in raising both awareness and funds for this important cause.”
The funds raised from the event will support breast cancer research and essential services, contributing to ongoing efforts to improve lives and advance treatment for those affected by the disease. The team at Park View Care Home are proud to champion causes that foster community spirit and make a positive impact.
