Residents from Four Acres Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, were treated to an unforgettable adventure on as they set off on a day trip to the West Midland Safari Park.
Organised by Kayleigh, Lifestyle Coordinator, and supported by Ann from the Care Team, six residents enjoyed a scenic tour of the park, spotting a variety of animals and soaking up the late-summer weather.
The group also shared a picnic during the outing, making the most of the sunny day.
“What a lovely day driving round seeing all the animals,” said June, one of the residents.
The idea for the trip came after discussions with residents revealed their enthusiasm for a visit to the safari park, and with the bus available, it was the perfect opportunity to make it happen.
“It’s important for our residents to get out, enjoy fresh air, and enjoy the local surroundings,” said Kayleigh.
The atmosphere throughout the day was described as relaxed and joyful, with plenty of laughter and excitement as the animals came into view.
A standout moment was the smiles on all the residents’ faces and how they all enjoyed themselves.
