Residents and staff at Braywood Gardens Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a heartwarming visit from pupils at Sacred Heart School as they came together to celebrate World Book Day on 5 March.
The visit saw students spending time with residents reading books aloud and taking part in games, creating a lively and uplifting atmosphere throughout the home. The event brought together residents, care staff and local schoolchildren for a day filled with conversation, laughter and shared enjoyment.
The initiative was organised after staff recognised the opportunity to work with the nearby school to create a meaningful intergenerational activity. The visit aimed to bring people of different ages together to share stories and build connections within the community.
