Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, was filled with joy, music, and love as residents and families came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The special day featured live singer Debbie Rainforth, who delighted everyone with her performance.
The celebration began with the lifestyle team presenting roses to residents and their families. Two lively Valentine’s parties were held, one in the upstairs nursing lounge and another in the ground-floor residential lounge. Guests sang along to classic love songs, while those able joined in on dancing, creating a joyful and heartfelt atmosphere.
Residents shared their delight throughout the day. Ingrid said, “It’s been fabulous, and I loved dancing with Mike,” while Mike added, “I loved shaking my hips and having a boogie!” Many others joined in singing along to familiar tunes, and families commented on how much fun they had and how special it was for their loved ones to receive roses. The highlight of the celebration was resident Norman belting out “I Just Called to Say I Love You”, bringing smiles and applause from everyone present.
Valentine’s Day is an important annual celebration at Rosedale Court, filled with love, music, and emotion. The event provided residents with the opportunity to enjoy their favourite love songs and spend quality time with friends and family, creating lasting memories for all.
