Woodbury Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was filled with festive cheer on 2 December 2025 as residents, staff, and members of the local community came together to celebrate Elf Day in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Mel Oliver, Home Manager at Woodbury Court, shared the excitement of the day, commenting: “Elf Day was a lot of fun!”
The celebration saw residents and staff embracing the Christmas spirit by dressing up, taking part in festive activities, and enjoying a warm, community-focused atmosphere. Even Kobe, the much-loved companion at Woodbury Court, joined in the fun by donning his very own elf outfit.
A highlight of the day was a heart-warming visit from the tiny elves of the Caterpillar Club House Nursery. Their adorable smiles and playful energy brought immense joy to everyone, creating magical moments that residents will cherish.
“All the staff and residents were involved,” said Mel Oliver. “Events like this are so important for bringing our community together while helping raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
The Elf Day celebration at Woodbury Court not only strengthened community bonds but also supported a meaningful cause, reflecting the home’s commitment to creating memorable experiences and supporting charitable initiatives.
