Frank Foster House, part of Runwood Homes Group, is proud to announce that Home Manager, Nicolas Kee Mew, has been named a finalist for the prestigious MBCC (Multicultural Business & Community Champion) Awards in the category of Social Campaigner of the Year. This recognition highlights Nicolas’s decade-long dedication to charitable causes, particularly in the area of dementia awareness and fundraising.

Frank Foster Houses’ Manager Nicolas, began his journey in social care at Frank Foster House as a cleaner 18 years ago. He has since risen through the ranks to become the manager of the home. He is an avid runner and dedicated volunteer, and has tirelessly supported various charities over the years, including Alzheimer’s Research UK. Despite scaling back his efforts in recent years to focus on one charity per year, his commitment to making a difference has remained unwavering.

The MBCC Awards, established in 2016 as a non-profit organisation, aim to celebrate individuals and organisations across the UK who selflessly contribute to their communities without seeking recognition. Since its inception, the event has grown in prominence, attracting over 450 attendees annually and becoming a key date in the national calendar.

The awards ceremony will take place this November in Birmingham, where Nicolas will join other exceptional finalists who have made significant contributions to their communities.

Home Manager at Frank Foster House Nicolas Kee Mew shared his thoughts on the nomination: “I am honoured and surprised to see my name as a finalist. I’m happy to celebrate this moment with my colleagues, and I want to thank everyone who voted for me.”

Nicolas’s work at Frank Foster House, alongside his campaigning efforts, underscores the importance of supporting charitable causes and raising awareness for dementia. His recognition by the MBCC Awards serves as a well-deserved acknowledgment of his ongoing dedication to these critical issues.

Frank Foster House continues to foster a culture of compassion and community, where the efforts of individuals like Nicolas are celebrated and supported.
