Alexandra House care home part of the Runwood Homes group attended the Essex Care Sector Awards 2024—Prospers, held on Wednesday, 4th December, to celebrate the incredible dedication and achievements within the care community.
The team at Alexandra House was honoured to receive several accolades at the event:
- Mirela Taban, Home Manager, was Highly Commended for the Outstanding Leadership Award.
- Alan Heywood, a family member, was Commended for the Unsung Hero Award.
- Lucy Sutheran, Jo Glover, Julie Hammond, and Gen, Lifestyle Co-ordinators, were Commended for Community Partnership and Collaboration, in collaboration with the Runwood Homes Wellbeing Team.
The event brought together key members of the Alexandra House team, including management and staff such as Mirela Taban, Lisa Meeks, Judith Buenafe, Cheryl Wright, Marion Walker, and Martin Mares, as well as Lifestyle Coordinators and supportive family member Alan Heywood.
These awards reflect the hard work, dedication, and collaborative spirit that define Alexandra House. The commitment of the staff, alongside the support from families and leadership, ensures that residents receive exceptional care in a nurturing environment.
Lifestyle Coordinator Lucy Sutheran expressed her excitement about the evening, saying:
“The night was fantastic, seeing everybody come together and showing everybody that Alexandra House is one big family.”
Family member Alan Heywood, who was commended for the Unsung Hero Award, added:
“I am very humbled and am happy to be a part of Alexandra House, not only to support my wife but to support the team.”
