On 5th December, Woodbury Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was proudly awarded the prestigious title of Care Home of the Year 2024 at the Runwood Homes Conference. The award recognised the exceptional care, dedication and commitment demonstrated by the team at the care home, winning them Care Home of the Year in the South.
Sarah Sanders, Business Development Director at Runwood Homes, in a heartfelt speech, celebrated the hard work and commitment of the entire team at Woodbury Court. The award was presented by Gordon Sanders, CEO, and Gavin O’Hare-Connolly, Managing Director, of Runwood Homes, commended the home’s staff for creating a nurturing and vibrant environment for its residents.
Mel, Woodbury Court’s Home Manager, expressed her gratitude for the recognition: “I was absolutely delighted to receive this award on behalf of my team. It’s so rewarding for all the hard work we do every day to be acknowledged. Woodbury Court is a lively, warm and loving place, where we strive to make every moment special for our residents. We are so thankful for the support we receive from our families, and the outpouring of celebration wishes on social media has been amazing.”
One resident, Ian, who stayed at Woodbury Court for respite care, shared his thoughts: “It’s no surprise that Woodbury Court has won this award. After my 8-week stay here, I can honestly say it’s so well-deserved. Congratulations to Mel, all the staff, and carers – such an incredible bunch of people!”
The award serves as a testament to the dedication of the team and the strong sense of community at Woodbury Court, where residents are treated with love, respect and the highest standard of care.
