On 13th December, Greenbanks Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, kicked off the festive season in style with it’s much-anticipated annual Christmas market. The event was filled with festive cheer, bringing residents, staff and the local community together for a day of shopping, entertainment and seasonal treats.
Santa and one of his cheerful elves were on hand to greet visitors, while a raffle added an extra touch of excitement. Market stalls features a variety of goods, and attendees enjoyed delicious homemade cakes and hot drinks, perfect for warming up on a chilly December day.
A highlight of the event was the Holy Rood School Choir, who filled the air with beautiful Christmas carols. The festive fun continued with local singer, Robbie, who treated the crowd to a selection of popular Christmas songs, keeping spirits high and magical.
Catherine, Greenbanks Care Home Manager, shared her thoughts on the day: “It was a lovely day, and a lot of the community turned up – it was lovely to get everyone together and get in the festive spirit before Christmas.”
The annual Christmas market was not only a chance to raise festive spirits, but also a reminder of the strong sense of community that Greenbanks Care Home fosters year-round. With plenty of joy and generosity shared, the event truly marked the beginning of the Christmas season for all who attended.
