Residents of Humfrey Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, braved the chilly weather on 9th January to visit Café Clare in Saffron Walden, enjoying a warm and welcoming community outing.
Organised by Lifestyle Coordinator Weronika Bien, the minibus trip provided residents, family members, and staff with the opportunity to connect with the local community over complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits.
“The cold weather didn’t stop us from visiting Café Clare in Saffron Walden and spending time with our wonderful community,” said Weronika. “It’s always great to come together and create special memories.”
The outing was inspired by residents’ desire to join the local coffee morning, fostering social interaction, and offering a change of scenery. The friendly atmosphere at the café and the chance to make new friends left everyone with smiles on their faces.
