Elizabeth Care Home proudly hosted a cultural showcase, where residents, family and staff members celebrated the rich history of Nigerian and Indian heritage.
The event, aimed at fostering a deeper sense of community and understanding, featuring a display of traditional Indian and Nigerian attire worn by dedicated staff members, as well as residents, and delicious home-cooked cuisine. Through this initiative, we sought to not only to celebrate the diverse backgrounds of our workforce but also to actively involve our residents in the experience.
“It was a great experience, this event brought joy and happiness to our lovely residents, their family members, and our staff members,” commented Ade, Manager of Elizabeth Care Home.
Residents and their families enthusiastically participated in the event, expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to learn about different cultures first hand. The event aimed to give residents and staff members a sense of inclusivity, respect, and a strong sense of belonging.
Runwood Homes group remains dedicated to creating an environment of openness and understanding where residents and staff alike feel empowered to share their experiences and traditions. The cultural showcase serves as a testament to the strength and beauty that come from embracing diversity.
