Longview Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently hosted a special Mother’s Day tea on Sunday 30th March, bringing residents and their families together for an afternoon of delicious treats and cherished memories. The event featured a delightful spread of scones, cakes, and hot drinks, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all who attended.
Residents, families, and staff all came together to celebrate the occasion, recognising the importance of Mother’s Day for the many mothers residing at the home.
One of the residents, Sarah B, shared her thoughts on the event, saying, “I loved spending time with my daughters and the food was lovely. The staff made us feel so special.”
The afternoon was filled with smiles and laughter as residents and their loved ones enjoyed their time together. A standout moment from the day was a table of ladies reminiscing about their experiences as young mothers, sharing heartfelt memories and stories from their past.
This annual tradition at Longview continues to bring joy and a sense of togetherness to residents and their families, reinforcing the home’s commitment to fostering meaningful connections and celebrating important occasions.
