Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, hosted a lively St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Monday 17th March. Local performer Eric graced the stage with his charming ukulele melodies. The event brought a touch of Irish cheer to the home, providing an unforgettable afternoon for all involved.
Eric’s performance captivated residents, who clapped along and sang to classic Irish tunes, creating an electric atmosphere throughout the venue. Park View is home to several residents with Irish roots, so the performance was a trip down memory lane and provided a sense of nostalgia.
Peter, a resident at Park View, has been having ukulele lessons with Eric over the past couple of months. He joined Eric up on stage for a performance and expressed that he has been “looking forward to St Patrick’s Day” to showcase his skill.
The event originated from an idea from Peter and Bridie, Park View‘s lifestyle coordinator. The show was enjoyed by residents and staff, with Bridie sharing that “the residents really enjoyed the show given.”
