On Friday 9th May, residents from Mulberry Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, were treated to a delightful day out at Houghton Hall Park, accompanied by staff members and a visiting family member.
The idea for the outing was sparked by a thoughtful suggestion from a family member who felt a walk in the park would be a lovely way for residents to enjoy the outdoors. The group strolled through the scenic park grounds, took in the peaceful natural surroundings, and finished the trip with a relaxing cup of tea at the park’s on-site restaurant. The outing supported physical activity, mental wellbeing, and social interaction in a peaceful outdoor setting.
Resident Mary commented, “It felt good to get out in the fresh air and chat with everyone.”
The atmosphere throughout the trip was cheerful and relaxed, with smiles, laughter, and plenty of friendly conversation. Mulberry Court places great value on experiences that enrich the lives of residents, and this memorable visit to Houghton Hall Park certainly did just that.
