Residents and families at Longview Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, were treated to a wonderful afternoon of live music on Friday 6th June, as local singing group The Ladybirds visited to perform a delightful concert in the home’s dining room.
The Ladybirds, a well-loved group known for singing in care homes across the community, brought their signature blend of nostalgic and upbeat songs. The event was a huge success, with residents singing along, dancing, and enjoying the lively atmosphere.
“What a lovely treat to have the Ladybirds sing to us,” said Hazel, a resident. “They played a nice mix of songs—I knew all of them!”
One highlight of the afternoon was a joyful rendition of Singing in the Rain, complete with dancing and umbrellas, which had everyone smiling.
The team at Longview looks forward to welcoming the Ladybirds back again soon for more musical memories.
