Blackthorns Care Home, Part of Runwood Homes Group, hosted their very first Quiz Night, which brought together residents, their families, and members of the local community for a lively and fun evening.
The event marked a new step in creating more inclusive and engaging opportunities for everyone at Blackthorns.
“It was nice to have something in the evening for relatives and residents,” said one family member, reflecting the positive atmosphere of the night.
A resident shared: “We had a fantastic time!”
Staff, residents, and their loved ones came together to take part in the interactive quiz, with some relatives even preparing in advance by watching quiz shows at home in anticipation. The evening sparked conversation and brought about a sense of togetherness that continued well after the final question was read.
The Home Manager shared their inspiration for the event:
“As a Home Manager, I believe it’s important to create opportunities that bring people together, to build relationships, strengthen our sense of community, and simply enjoy one another’s company.”
