Summer Fayre creating an exciting day in the home.
The courtyard garden was beautifully decorated with backdrops and flags, complemented by a tiki bar serving drinks and cakes. Residents and families enjoyed a “Name the Teddy” and raffle stall, while three families ran their own stalls offering scented products, painted mushrooms, and cards. Guests also enjoyed a BBQ featuring burgers and hot dogs, as well as the display of a vintage Mustang and Beetle car.
Louise Healy, Lifestyle Lead Coordinator at Rosedale Court, said, “It’s so important to bring residents, families, and the community together. Seeing everyone enjoying themselves, singing, dancing, and celebrating was truly wonderful.”
The highlight of the day was a special Elvis performance, which lasted over four hours. Elvis also visited residents in their rooms, creating beautiful moments.

Bill Hackett said, “Thank you for a brilliant day, I loved it with my family.”
Gill Paradise praised the event saying, “This is the best day ever, I’m glad we got a table early as it’s an amazing crowd here.”
Elizabeth Power was thankful for guest performer, “Thank you so much for getting Elvis to come and sing to me again in my room. It’s like a dream come true.”
The event featured a lively, celebratory atmosphere with singing, dancing, and delicious food. What started as a planned two-hour Elvis performance extended to five hours due to the incredible energy and enthusiasm from the crowd.

Pat Byrne aka Elvis said “It has been a fantastic day. The audience were amazing, and I loved singing to the residents in their rooms too.”
Melanie ‘Mr Ice’ Ice Cream Van also shared his thoughts, “What an amazing day for your residents and families. I have never been to such a lively care home—it’s fantastic.”
The Rosedale Court Summer Fayre is an annual event, and this year’s edition welcomed even more community involvement and activity, making it a truly memorable day for everyone.
