Residents at Rosedale Court were treated to a lively afternoon of music and entertainment as the Canvey Uker’s Ukulele Band returned for a much-anticipated performance.
The eight-piece ukulele group, who first played at Rosedale Court, earlier in the year, delighted the audience once again with a setlist packed full of sing-along classics. The atmosphere was electric, with residents clapping, singing, and smiling throughout the afternoon, while enjoying refreshments provided by the Lifestyle Team.
Residents shared their enthusiasm for the event:
- Charlie Fink: “They really are brilliant and I love listening to them.”
- Lillian Brunt: “I love the music and the songs they sing get everyone going.”
The Canvey Uker’s themselves were equally delighted to return:
“It’s great coming back to Rosedale Court, We can see how much you enjoy the music, and it’s wonderful to see everyone smiling and singing along. We’re already looking forward to returning at Christmas.”
A particular highlight of the afternoon was the band’s renditions of “Livin’ Doll” and “Hi Ho Silver Lining,” which had the entire room joining in, lifting the roof with music and laughter.
Louise Healy, Lifestyle Lead at Rosedale Court, said:
“Our residents told us how much they loved the Canvey Uker’s after their first visit, so we knew we had to invite them back. The rapport between the band and our residents is just fantastic, and the joy it brings really shows. We’re delighted they’ll also be joining us again at Christmas.”
The event once again demonstrated the importance of bringing the community together through live entertainment and music.
