A group of residents from Loganberry Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed an unforgettable day out at the ALB Music Festival in Colchester Castle Park. The event featured a live orchestra alongside tribute acts, with delicious food and a vibrant festival atmosphere.
The outing was made possible with the support of FaNs Network, who sourced tickets to ensure local care home residents could take part. Ten residents attended the large-scale community event, hosted by ALB (Anti Loo Roll Brigade), and immersed themselves in music.
Residents shared glowing feedback about the evening. June said she had a wonderful time and hadn’t laughed like that in ages. Kevin described it as a great night out and expressed his hope for more outings like this in the future. Tony added that he really enjoyed himself and was so glad he went.
Reflecting on the event, Naomi Cranmer said: “The atmosphere was magical, with a real sense of community. Opportunities like this are so important as they allow residents to experience new things and stay connected with the wider community.”
