On 26th September 2025, Maun View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, proudly hosted its annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising vital funds and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Residents, relatives, and staff all took part in the nationwide initiative, turning the home a vibrant shade of green for the day. Participants wore green clothing, enjoyed tea and coffee, indulged in homemade cakes, and came together for a cause that touches many lives.
Lucy, Wellbeing Lead at Maun View, said:
“It was great, the whole staff team got involved. Residents throughout the home wore green, and everyone had a wonderful time. Lots of smiles and laughter, all for a really great cause.”
The morning included a lively game of bingo, dancing, and plenty of opportunities for residents and families to connect. The uplifting atmosphere was matched by the generosity of those who donated, with the home raising £76.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
One resident and their family added:
“The cakes were fantastic, and the morning was lovely.”
The event also saw huge engagement online, with Maun View’s Facebook post reaching a record-breaking 5,300 views, marking the home’s highest online reach to date.
Organised as part of a company-wide initiative, the coffee morning is a key annual event in the Maun View calendar, offering a meaningful way for the home to give back and unite with others across the country in support of cancer care.
