Oldfield House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, recently hosted a Halloween Party on 30 October 2025, bringing together residents, their families, staff, and members of the local community for an afternoon filled with laughter, dancing, and fun.

Children from the community delighted residents by showcasing their creative costumes and lively dance moves, while staff joined in the spirit of the occasion, dressing up as a beautiful witch, a silly pumpkin, a scary nun, and a cute kitten. Residents and staff enjoyed nostalgic Halloween tunes from the 90s and shared in the excitement with their own dance moves.

The event was a joint effort from everyone in attendance, demonstrating the strong bonds that make Oldfield House such a special place to live and work.

I enjoy doing different things and this party is exactly what I’m looking for,” said resident Mo. Another resident, Chris, added, “I’m loving the variety. It’s never the same thing.

The atmosphere throughout the day was joyful, with laughter echoing through the halls and smiles on every face. The costume parade presented by staff stood out as a particular highlight, drawing cheers and applause from all attendees.

The Halloween Party at Oldfield House was a great celebration that everyone enjoyed together. Dressing up, sharing smiles, and talking about costumes provides opportunities for residents to connect with the wider community. Events like this reduce loneliness, uplift moods, and remind everyone that fun and community spirit have no age limit.
