Residents and staff at Bracebridge Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together on 31st October to celebrate a remarkable milestone , the 106th birthday of their much-loved resident, Muriel.
The home marked the special occasion with an afternoon filled with music, laughter, and celebration. A talented singer, Nicola Jane, entertained everyone, while Muriel enjoyed a beautiful homemade birthday cake, lovingly prepared by the home’s catering team, and was presented with a stunning bouquet of flowers.
Adding to the excitement, Muriel also received a birthday card from His Majesty The King, recognising her incredible achievement and wonderful long life.
After the celebrations, Muriel gave a heartfelt speech, thanking everyone for making her day so special. She expressed her gratitude to the staff and fellow residents, saying “I hope you all have as good a time as I’ve had when it’s your turn!!” and how happy she was to celebrate such a memorable occasion surrounded by friends.
