Greenbanks Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, marked the festive season with its much-loved 2025 Christmas Party, held on 20 December 2025, bringing together residents, relatives, members of the local community and staff for a joyful and memorable celebration.
Commenting on the event, the Deputy Manager at Greenbanks Care Home said the Christmas party is a cherished tradition that everyone looks forward to each year. It provides a special opportunity to reflect on the year gone by, give thanks, and share the joy of Christmas together in a warm and inclusive environment.
The Sun Lounge was filled to capacity, with such a wonderful turnout that guests happily gathered both inside and just outside the lounge to be part of the celebrations. Attendees were entertained from start to finish by an electrifying live performance from singer Nikki, enjoyed a delicious festive meal, and eagerly took part in a raffle featuring some amazing prizes.
Residents, relatives, community guests and staff all expressed their happiness with the well-organised event, describing it as a large, joyful gathering that kept everyone engaged throughout the afternoon. The atmosphere was both joyful and emotional, with residents dancing on their feet or from their chairs, joined by relatives, staff and guests who filled the room with music, laughter and festive cheer.
One particularly moving highlight was the attendance of Steve, the husband of a resident who sadly passed away earlier in the year. His continued connection with Greenbanks was deeply felt, and he generously donated the raffle’s first prize, attending the celebration in person to share in the occasion.
The Greenbanks Christmas Party continues to be a meaningful tradition, strengthening bonds between residents, families, staff and the wider community, and ensuring the spirit of togetherness remains at the heart of the home during the festive season.
