Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, residents and their families enjoyed a truly special and memorable day out on 27 January 2026, as they came together for a community bus trip filled with laughter, connection, and shared experiences.
The group travelled to The Old Walnut Tree Pub for a relaxed lunch, where residents and family members enjoyed quality time together in a restaurant setting. The day continued with a stop at Rossi for ice cream, before everyone sat together to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the estuary, creating a peaceful and reflective end to a wonderful outing.
Commenting on the outing, Louise, Lifestyle Lead at Rosedale, said:
“It is so important to involve families in experiences like this and create opportunities for them to enjoy a trip with their loved ones.”
Families and residents shared heartfelt feedback following the trip. Peter, son of resident Anthony, said:
“What a lovely day we have had and the food has been great.”
Caroline, wife of resident Tony, added:
“It’s been so lovely to get out and spend the day in a restaurant with Tony.”
Adrian, son of resident David, shared:
“Just wanted to say a big thank you on behalf of dad and myself. Lots of fun after a sleepy start — it was lovely to see Dad return to his smiley self. You are a star.”
