Ivy Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was filled with laughter, celebration, and pride on 5 February 2026 as residents, staff, and family came together to celebrate an extraordinary milestone, Nora’s 105th birthday.
The special afternoon was spent celebrating with Nora’s family and enjoying a delicious birthday cake, marking a truly memorable occasion for everyone involved. During the celebration, Nora delighted guests by sharing her tips for a long and healthy life, explaining that she doesn’t drink or smoke, and still enjoys playing football. Her humour and wisdom had everyone smiling, and laughter filled the room throughout the afternoon.
Staff, family members, and fellow residents gathered to honour Nora’s remarkable life, reflecting on the memories she has created and the inspiration she continues to be within the Ivy Court community.
One of the standout moments of the day was when Nora received a birthday card from His Majesty The King, a touching and proud moment that made the celebration even more meaningful.
The event was a heartfelt reminder of the importance of celebrating life’s milestones and recognising the incredible stories and experiences of those who call Ivy Court home.
