Residents from Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a fantastic day out at Hollywood Bowl Basildon followed by lunch at Buzz Kitchen on 20th February 2026.
The outing, organised by the Lifestyle Team, saw residents treated to a VIP ten-pin bowling experience before heading to Buzz Kitchen at Festival Leisure Park for a well-earned lunch.
The group made the most of their VIP lane, under the neon lights and enjoying plenty of friendly competition. There was lots of movement and exercise as everyone got involved, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere throughout.
There were plenty of memorable moments during the day. Cliff proudly celebrated scoring a strike, while Norman impressed everyone by bowling without the ramp. Pat shared, “I always love bowling, it’s good fun with the big balls!” Norman added, “Look at me, I can do it without the ramp!” and Cliff simply declared, “Strike!”
Family members were equally delighted. Norman’s daughter Karen said, “Had a lovely day, thank you,” while Wendy’s daughter Claire commented, “Had a great day with mum, thank you.”
Staff at Buzz Kitchen warmly welcomed the group, saying, “It’s been a pleasure having you all and we look forward to seeing you all again.”
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly Cliff’s strike and the VIP treatment the residents received both at the bowling alley and in the restaurant, making the outing feel extra special.
