Residents, staff and relatives of Longview care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, came together to enjoy a lively and heartwarming Valentine’s party filled with music, laughter and celebration.
The event featured a live singer who entertained the crowd with well-loved classics, alongside a raffle and fun dancing competitions that encouraged everyone to get involved. The party created a wonderful opportunity for residents to socialise, reminisce and celebrate Valentine’s Day together.
Resident Kitty shared her delight at the event, saying: “It was so nice having a rose from the singer, he made me feel so special. It’s been years since I got a rose for Valentine’s day!”
The atmosphere throughout the day was very fun, with everyone enjoying the singing and dancing. Smiles filled the room as residents clapped along to the music and cheered each other on during the competitions.
The Valentine’s party is an annual tradition at the home, as the team believes it is important to celebrate big events and create meaningful moments for residents.
The success of the day once again demonstrated the positive impact that shared experiences, music and laughter can have on wellbeing within the home.
