Residents at Lower Meadow care home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently enjoyed their first barbecue of 2026, bringing together residents, families and team members for a fantastic day of food, music and celebration.
The event featured a delicious barbecue with a variety of flavoured chicken kebabs, alongside an ice cream trolley, cocktails and beer. Families joined residents for the occasion, creating a warm and sociable atmosphere filled with laughter and special moments.
The barbecue was organised in direct response to a request from residents and was brought together within just 24 hours, reflecting Lower Meadow’s whole-home approach to ensuring resident wishes are heard and acted upon quickly.
Residents were delighted with the event, particularly enjoying the different flavoured chicken kebabs, and many described it as “the best day.”
The atmosphere throughout the day was vibrant and joyful, with music playing, families spending quality time together, and residents enjoying a memorable start to the warmer months.
