Residents at Four Acres Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, embraced the beauty of spring with a refreshing countryside outing on 25 March, enjoying scenic views, fresh air, and a delightful picnic.
The trip was organised by Kayleigh Hobbis, Lifestyle Coordinator, alongside Katie from the lifestyle team. Six residents took part in the excursion, alongside the lifestyle team, which included a drive through the countryside to admire newborn lambs and blooming spring flowers, followed by a picnic stop at the local Needle Museum.
The atmosphere throughout the day was full of joy, with residents smiling, laughing, and making the most of the sunshine and seasonal scenery. The outing provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to relax and enjoy nature together.
Resident Margaret shared her experience, saying:
“I have really enjoyed getting out today and seeing all the flowers coming up.”
A standout moment of the day was simply seeing the happiness on residents’ faces, highlighting the positive impact that outings like this have on wellbeing and quality of life.
Experiences like this remain an important part of life at Four Acres, supporting residents to stay active, engaged, and connected to the world around them.
