Mulberry Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was delighted to welcome a group of young visitors from Gill Blowers Nursery School, in a heartwarming intergenerational event that brought smiles, laughter, and creativity to residents and staff alike.
The visit was organised as part of the home’s ongoing relationship with the nursery, creating meaningful connections between generations. During the morning, the nursery children engaged residents in a range of arts and crafts activities, creating colourful drawings for each individual. The session continued with an animated storytelling experience, capturing the attention and imagination of everyone present, before concluding with a joyful sing-along that filled the home with music and cheer.
The event involved residents, nursery children, and staff, all of whom contributed to the uplifting atmosphere. The room was filled with laughter and happiness throughout, highlighting the positive impact of intergenerational interaction.
One resident ambassador, Pat, reflected on the importance of such visits, saying it “keeps residents young at heart.”
