Residents at Liberty House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently embraced the joys of spring with a delightful outing as part of the Runwood Ramblers initiative, taking a scenic walk around Cantle.
The trip brought together both residents and staff, offering an opportunity to enjoy fresh air, seasonal beauty, and meaningful social interaction. Surrounded by blooming spring flowers and pleasant weather, the group enjoyed a relaxed and uplifting walk through the local area.
Jean, a resident at Liberty House, shared her experience: “I loved being out in the sunshine for Runwood Ramblers. We saw some beautiful spring flowers and a lovely gentleman gave us some fresh daffodils.”
Fellow resident Emily added: “I had a lovely time sitting in the courtyard with my daughter.”
Prince, a carer at the home, commented: “It was great to see the residents enjoying themselves in the sunshine and seeing their smiling faces when a gentleman handed them some flowers was lovely.”
One of the standout moments of the day was when a kind passer-by gifted the residents a bouquet of fresh daffodils, adding an extra touch of warmth and community spirit to the outing.
