Greenbanks Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, recently hosted a special Mother’s Day Coffee Morning, bringing together residents, families, and members of the local community for a joyful celebration.
The event saw 28 residents, 35 family members, and 5 community guests come together to honour and celebrate Mother’s Day in a warm and welcoming environment. Guests enjoyed a delightful morning filled with freshly brewed coffee, an array of cakes, beautiful floral displays, and live music performed by a talented musician.
A raffle held during the event raised £80, adding an extra sense of community spirit and engagement to the celebration.
The occasion provided an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the lives of residents, particularly mothers, while strengthening the bonds between families and the care home community. The atmosphere throughout the morning was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful connections.
Nirmala, Wellbeing Lead at Greenbanks, commented:
“Residents and families getting together was a joyful occasion. Families commented on the live music and loved the food we provided. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate such an important day. Events like this bring so much wellbeing to our residents and their loved ones.”
Families also shared their appreciation for the event, noting how much they enjoy attending celebrations at the home and spending quality time with their loved ones.
Greenbanks remains committed to creating enriching experiences that promote wellbeing, connection, and happiness for all residents and their families.
